Delegating to the Machine: Accountability and the AI Agent
The skills you need to manage artificial intelligence are the ones you already use for people — because delegation is a relationship, not a script.

When a major airline's website chatbot invented a fake refund policy for a grieving passenger, the airline tried to argue in court that the software was a separate entity, responsible for its own mistakes. The tribunal flatly rejected the excuse. You are responsible for what is on your website, they ruled, chatbot or not. The accountability does not delegate. It is a lesson every business leader knows by heart when it comes to human employees, but one we easily forget when the worker is made of code.
